Frequently Asked Questions for Presenters
Each presentation space is equipped with:
Microphone
Projector with PC-compatible connection cables
Please bring your own device for your presentation.
While the projection stations are equipped with cords compatible with most PC devices, the conference center only has a limited number of Apple adaptors available. To ensure smooth connectivity, we recommend bringing your own adaptor if you're using an Apple device.
The MOTA Conference Committee will contact you approximately two weeks prior to your presentation with an updated number of participants registered to attend your session.
Please note that registration will remain open up until the conference, so the number of attendees may continue to increase leading up to your presentation date.
What is required for the format of my slides/presentation?
While the final format is up to you, the following structure is suggested:
Title Slide
Include the title of your presentation.
Presenter Bios
Briefly introduce each presenter (name, role, credentials, etc.).
Learning Objectives
List what the audience should learn or take away from the presentation.
Content Slides
Deliver your main material starting from this point onward.
Font Type: Use Calibri or Arial.
Font Size: Use a minimum of 20-point font.
Accessibility Checker: Use PowerPoint’s built-in tool:
Go to Review → Check Accessibility → view the Inspection Report for issues and suggestions.
Is there dedicated time for question and answer during my presentation?
Yes, we encourage participants to have dedicated time for questions and answers within your scheduled presentation slot. We encourage you to plan your session to allow time at the end for audience engagement and discussion.
Will my session be recorded or live streamed?
At this time, MOTA will not be live streaming or recording conference presentations. If you are interested in presenting your topic again for continuing education (CE) opportunities for individuals who could not attend the conference, please connect with MOTA after the event.
What do I do if I experience technology problems on the day of presentation?
If you experience any technology issues on the day of your presentation, please let a conference committee member know immediately. Committee members will be available to help with technology difficulties.
We also recommend arriving a few minutes early to test your equipment and connection prior to your presentation.
Is there a dress code?
We encourage all presenters to wear business casual attire for their presentation.
How do I receive CEU credits for my presentation?
Following the conference, you will receive an email from MOTA confirming the completion of your presentation. Please keep this email in your record to verify your continuing education (CE) credit.
