Q: Do I get paid to present? 

A: No, at this time MOTA does not compensate presenters, although you do receive CE credit for your presentation which you can use when you go to renew your license 

Q: What do I do if I am interested in presenting?

Please fill out to the best of your abilities. Once submitted MOTA will connect on next steps. 

Q: What can I expect once I submit my interest in presenting? 

A: Expect an email from MOTA within a few days. If modifications are recommended, MOTA will work with you to ensure the presentation qualifies for CE credit. If no modifications are needed then the presentation will be scheduled. MOTA will open registration to participants and will advertise the presentation. You are also welcome to advertise and encourage participation. You will receive an email with a zoom link and directions for the presentation prior to the presentation. 

Q: How can I present? 

A: Currently MOTA is doing live presentations online via Zoom platform. We are exploring asynchron opportunities. If this is what you are interested in please reach out to MOTA to further discuss. 

Q: What does it look like the day of presenting? 

A: MOTA will have a moderate assist on the day of the presentation. It is recommended you log into the Zoom link 20 minutes before your presentation. At that time MOTA will help set up. MOTA will also help moderate the presentation and assist with monitoring the chat. You will receive an email with directions of how to log into the zoom account prior to your presentation. 

Q: Can I see what other people have presented?

A: We are in the process of working through creating a library of prior courses. 

Q: Do I have to follow a specific template for my presentation 

A: There is a recommended template, although you do not have to use this template if you have something else created. We do recommended you utilize the accessibility tool prior to presenting.

  • Font type: Calibri or arial 

  • Contrast with text/background 

Q: How does MOTA advertise my presentation?

A: MOTA will send out an email to its listserv. In addition, MOTA will post on social media platforms and their website about upcoming courses. We encourage presenters to advertise and promote their presentations as well.

Q: Can I request topics I am interested in learning about?

A: Yes, you are more than welcome to submit topics. We can work together to find topics for online learning or look to add these topics at conference.
