Licensure RequirementsIn order to maintain or renew a Minnesota license, an OTR needs a minimum of 24 contact hours in two years. An OTA needs a minimum of 18 contact hours in two years. NBCOT is the national organization that certifies Occupational Therapy Practitioners in the United States. For information and details about NBCOT, visit their website by clicking on this link NBCOT Release of Learner Records from MOTAContinuing Education (CE) records are retained for 7 years. Participants requesting CE records will be asked to provide identifying information to assure the privacy and security of learner’s records. Member requests are verified by participant’s home mailing address and telephone number. MOTA's Disclosure PolicyMOTA requires that all participating speakers, course directors, and planning committee members to disclose to the program audience any financial relationships related to the subject matter of this program. Relationships of a spouse/partner with proprietary entities producing health care goods or services should be disclosed if they are of a nature that may influence the objectivity of the individual in a position to control the content of the continuation education activity. Disclosure information is reviewed in advance in order to manage and resolve any possible conflicts of interest. Specific disclosure information for each speaker, course director, and planning committee member will be shared with the audience prior to the speaker’s presentation.
